Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, What can DUCK, Do for you?!
My talents are wasted I tells ya! Anyway, as usual, the Valentines formal will be an event to remember but if you want that special someone to remember it even more fondly then we can help! All this week DUCK will be taking orders for silk roses and "The Last Rolo". For only £1 you can get a rose delivered to whomsoever you desire at the start of the formal. Don't have anyone to give one to? Why not secretly get one for yourself and pretend to be popular! Genius!
And what's this rolo business? Well, the last rolo is obviously the most precious, so , who will you give yours to? Wrapped in stunning and romantic crepe paper, this novelty really says "you are special". At 25p, this is the bargain of the century!
This time next week you could be...
...Enjoying a round of DUCK pubgolf obviously! For a measly £1 you can grab your scorecard and follow BW and Yorkshire into the night for a few freindly beverages ending up in the brand new Academy which is coincidentally having a DUCK evening with reduced price entry and £1 from every ticket going straight back to DUCK. A win-win if I ever spied one! Scorecards will be available in Aidan's Bar next Monday night from 7.30 and the event will kick off at 8.
Impromptu and Impending Raids
This Wednesday afternoon, there will be an all college raid allover Durham city centre raising funds for the NSPCC. If you're interested and have a couple of hours spare and a costume that you've been gagging to get out again, drop me an email!
We're nearly at maximum capacity for the Leeds raid, but there are a couple of places left, so once again drop me an email and I'll put you on Santas good list straight away!

If you are one of the lucky few to have been accpeted onto an expedition then let me know! (greg.chambers@durham.ac.uk) We can then organise fund raising events and collate ideas and have cake sales and eat the leftovers and everything.
Tougher than Tough
Last weekend was the annual Tough Guy competition which saw 5000 competitors from across the country trying to prove how truly rough they really are. Congratulations to all who took part and survived! With a special mention for Dom North who managed to cross the line in 98th place!
