Welfare TEAM
The Welfare Team is chaired by the Senior Welfare Officer. The team provides peer-to-peer support to all Aidan's students.

Our officers receive expert training to provide one-to-one active listening support in welfare hours. Welfare hours are held from 18:00 - 19:00 most evenings in the welfare room or online, in which welfare officers can offer a safe space to talk without being judged or advised. They can discuss specialist or University support options if you ask.

The welfare team also runs numerous campaigns throughout the year to address specific student welfare issues. These campaigns range from "Housing Support" to "Disabled Students" and "Exam Stress" and include informative posts on their Instagram (@staidanswelfare) and fun and/or informative events.

Welfare supplies can be accessed discretely 24/7 from outside the welfare room. Supplies include sanitary products, sexual health products and anti-spiking bottle stoppers. There are also up-to-date leaflets on University and specialist services available outside the welfare room.

The welfare team is also the EDI representation in the JCR, with representatives making up most of the team.
